Why did not Ravna touch Sita? was he really great?

(Mythology)
In recent days I found some posts and poetry moving around facebook saying Ravna as a great person who did not touch Sita, just abducted. He would have forced her but he did not, he waited for her agreement. So, definitely he becomes a great person by not forcing a women for filling up desires. I tried to dig Ramayana-

In Ramayana its clearly said by Walmiki that Ravna had a habit of abducting women and forcing them for physical contact. He enjoyed hundreds of women. Even Ravna himself tells Sita:

स्वधर्मो रक्षसां भीरु सर्वथैव न संशयः |
गमनं वा परस्त्रीणाम् हरणम् सम्प्रमथ्य वा || ५-२०-५
-O one with fear! Obtaining women belonging to others or abducting by force is the righteous deed for ogres by all means. There is no doubt in this.

-And Ravna had done this several times. Just before the Battle, Ravana called assembly where one Asur asked him to enjoy Sita by forcing her. On this, Ravna narrated a story that Once he saw one Apsara "Punjikasthala" going to Brahma Bhavan. He ripped off her clothes and enjoyed her. She went to Brahma later, then Brahma cursed Ravna that if he enjoys any women by force then his head would cut down in 100 pieces.

So Ravna had a great fear of this curse. So, he tried all the ways to seed desire about him in Seeta's heart but never enjoyed her. This was a major aspect why Ravna did not enjoy her. We must know that it was not his greatness to leave Sita.

-Once I saw a celestial nymph, Punjikasthala(by name) flashing like a flame, concealing herself in the sky and proceeding towards the abode of Brahma
-She was made unclothed by me and was enjoyed forcibly. Thereafter, appearing like a crumpled lotus, she went to the abode of Brahma
-I think that the matter was made known to the high soled Brahama and then the enraged Brahma spoke to me the following words
-From today onwards, if you revel with any other woman forcibly, your head then undoubtedly will break asunder into a hundred pieces
-Fearing the curse given in this manner by Brahama, I am not violently making Sita the daughter of Videha, to mount on my beautiful bed forcibly

I hope here onward no sister will ask for a brother like Ravana.

Jatayu - Fight for duty cleverly, whether you win or not

Pic source: Wikipedia
When Ravana abducted Sita, he had a battle with a great Eagle, Jatayu. Jatayu knew that he could not win the battle still he fought with Ravana- He destroyed Ravana's chariot dome, he killed Chariot's Driver, he cut Ravana's 10 hands of one side( Ravana regained hands same time ). Ravana had to leave Sita to fight with Jatayu for a moment. Then Ravana cut Jatayu's feathers and He fall down in the blood. Sita, took Jatayu in her arms, cried for him, praised his bravery and kept message, for Rama, to him. Jatayu kept himself alive till Rama reached to him. He delivered Sita's message to Rama and stopped breathing.

Actually, Jatayu had no concern with Sita or Rama. He was neither relative nor a childhood friend. But when Rama met him in Aranya, Jatayu promised Rama that he would safeguard Devi Sita as he found it as his duty. And he obeyed it in the future. As stated by Valmiki, Jatayu knew that he could not win the battle with Ravana, still he fought for duty to oppose abduction of a Pativrata Sita.

Notes:
1. Sita had close relation with plants and animals in Aranya. She used to talk with them and they used to respond.
2. Jatayu was clever, he did not only fought Ravana but also killed driver so Chariot will stop. Then he destroyed Dome so, chariot will loose Balance. He cut Ravanas hands so he could not take Sita with him( but he did not know about Ravana could gain hands back.) So this tells that Eagles must be clever enough to fight.
3. Eagles must be powerful enough to kill man(driver was killed)
4. Eagles must have mind to think on what is good and bad.

berries are expected to be sweet

the story

Do you remember the beautiful story of Shabri? While in Vanvasa King Rama visits Ashrama of Sage Matanga where he meets Shabri, she offers Rama berries, then Rama liberates her soul. Oh! Wait. She does not offer berries directly, she first tastes them, discards the bitter ones, and offers sweet ones only. Isn’t it? But, you know, Rama doesn’t ask her sweet berries. So, why does she really do this? Yes, yes, you got it right, she tries to offer the best that she could. OK! Got it.

but, why this story?

For a moment, keep aside a mythological mindset, ignore the typical storyline and try to make characters and the event more abstract; you will observe that in the story, Shabri represents an offerer, Berry represents the Content/offer, Rama represents the offeree. And let’s not draw the traditional conclusion - whenever we offer something, we must offer the best content but, read what was not written and was left to think - Rama did not ask for something (a sweetness) that Shabri offered. And there comes my topic of interest - should you really deliver exactly what is asked for or should you go beyond it? My answer to it is - Yes. The reason is simple that berries are expected to be sweet because it’s a basic quality you expect in berry when you eat it.

oh boy! Is it?

Yup! When we get the requirements through any requirement document then generally we focus on the functionality, being more specific, we focus only on what is written in the document - ditto - and we program it. Due to this, nowadays, companies started to mention a term explicitly which is called NFR (Non-Functional Requirement).

NFRs

NFRs (aka Itys) generally define the software qualities like security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, and usability. These qualities may or may not be mentioned in the documents but I consider it as a responsibility of every contributor (to software) to assume these as basic requirements that are worth considering just to deliver robust solutions. Again! The reason is simple: berries are expected to be sweet because it’s a basic quality that you expect in every berry. I acknowledge, understand, and accept that time could be a constraint at times but of course, it does not need time to put things on the table and then let stakeholders choose from offerings. And yes, it may happen that the client or decision-maker may ignore (or even discard) your inputs to these qualities due to his/her short goals. It’s ok. Relax and turn the next page of your book. Nothing to get hurt, you did what you had to.

Every software may come with the same (or similar) technology but has some difference in the logic, always; and every logic affects NFR in one way or the other. This gives you an excellent opportunity to learn to deal with the same NFR in a different context or in a different way. So, set your own benchmarks and deliver them. I am damn sure that you want your berries to be tasted sweet whether or not they are expected so, by someone. Don’t you?
